ESSENTIAL STANDARDS
ELA
I CAN…
- quote and infer what the text says
- find the main ideas and supporting details in a text
- summarize the text
- find an answer to a question or solve a problem quickly using multiple sources
- find reasons with evidence to support points in a text
- identify which points are supported by specific reasons and evidence
- write or speak about a topic after doing thorough research
- find the theme of a text
- identify how the character changes throughout the text
- summarize the text
- engage effectively in a variety of conversations
- build on others’ ideas and express my thinking clearly
- introduce and conclude the topic

MUSIC

- sing or play a song on the correct pitches and rhythms, using their skills learned in class

- demonstrate appropriate audience behavior for music presented and performed in 4th grade
CODING

- use numbers or symbols to show how programs store information
- think like a computer, in sequences and loops
- identify and fix problems in my code
- choose the right form of technology to complete tasks most efficiently
MATH
I CAN…
- read, write, and compare decimals to thousandths
- fluently use the standard algorithm to multiply multi-digit whole numbers
- find, illustrate, and explain whole-number quotients with multi-digit dividends and divisors using a variety of strategies
- solve addition and subtraction fraction word problems with unlike denominators by using equations
- interpret a fraction as division of the numerator by the denominator
- solve word problems involving division of whole numbers using models or equations
- solve word problems involving multiplication of fractions and mixed numbers by using models or equations
SEL
I CAN...
- identify and manage their emotions and behavior constructively
- demonstrate consideration for others and a desire
- to contribute positively
- develop and maintain positive relationships
PE/Health

- throw overhand & hit my target
- dribble in general space with control of ball & body while increasing & decreasing speed
