Career Technical Education (CTE) offers MAPS students the opportunity earn articulated credit through partnerships the district has with WESD, Ferris State, and more. CTE opportunities provide our students with the academic and technical skills, knowledge and training necessary to succeed in their chosen career field.

CTE QUESTIONS

Why should I consider CTE?

 

  1.  Learn Life Skills.  CTE students develop life skills such as: problem-solving, communication, time management, and critical thinking skills through CTE learning opportunities. 
  2. Students achieve in other subjects. Students who choose CTE programs often improve reading, mathematics and science skills through an improved level of engagement.
  3. Students gain job-specific skills. Students can take courses that are specific to a career pathway in which they show interest. The learning they receive in these program can prepare them for a future in their chosen field.
