The girls golf team competed in a tri meet with Montague and Whitehall at
Montague. The girls recorded a team score of 213. Winning was Whitehall
with a 202 and Montague in second with a 213. Leading the lady Chippewas
was Olivia Vasquez with a 53, Kendal Waligorski with a 54, Emalyn Nelson
with a 56 and Sara Danison with a 58. Not factoring into the scoring was
Kate Somsel with a 61 (personal best), Sarah Huber with a 65 and Sadie
Verheek with a 78. In the van ride home the girls said they each needed to
work on some specific parts of their game. The good news is we have some
time to do that before we are back in action at a league match on Wednesday
at West Michigan Christian.
