The Manistee Girls Golf team played well but ultimately lost to Fremont in
the first match of the 2021 season. The Chips were led in scoring by
sophomore Kendal Waligorski with 50. Other scores included seniors Sara
Danison 52; juniors Mackenzie King 57 and Olivia Vasquez 57, senior Emalyn
Nelson 62 and freshman Sarah Huber 67. Coach Warnke was happy with the
first outing of the year and thought scoring was a good place to start the
season. Next up for the Chips is a 1:00pm home match with Montague at the
Manistee Golf and Country Club. Good luck!
