Career & Technical Education
Career Technical Education (CTE) offers MAPS students the opportunity to earn articulated credit through partnerships the district has with WSCC, Ferris State, and more. CTE opportunities provide our students with the academic and technical skills, knowledge and training necessary to succeed in their chosen career field.
CTE News
During the 2018/19 school year, 58 Manistee High School students chose CTE training as part of their course study. Many of these students will earn articulated credit to other schools through partnerships with have with WSCC and Ferris State. Congratulations to our CTE students for seeking opportunities to learn about their chosen career fields and getting a jump start on the next steps in their journey!

Why should I consider CTE?
- Learn Life Skills. CTE students develop life skills such as: problem-solving, communication, time management, and critical thinking skills through CTE learning opportunities.
- Students achieve in other subjects. Students who choose CTE programs often improve reading, mathematics and science skills through an improved level of engagement.
- Students gain job-specific skills. Students can take courses that are specific to a career pathway in which they show interest. The learning they receive in these program can prepare them for a future in their chosen field.
