Loose parts playground at Jefferson
Here is our Loose Parts Play setup for our preschool group.

What is loose parts play?
“The type of play preschoolers engage in dramatically impacts their future cognitive, social, emotional, and physical skills.
Loose parts play, where children can manipulate various objects and materials, develops creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills in preschoolers.”

You can incorporate loose parts play at home with activities such as:
*Sensory bins. ( I have added photos of sensory bin ideas)
*Painting with leaves and sticks and a cup of water as the “paint”
*Sorting things by color and sizes, grouping similar items
*Adding things to water to see if they sink or float
*Having a section of your yard filled with rocks, sand, logs, pots and pans etc
