Manistee competed against a partial Leland team today at Manistee Golf and
Country Club. Leland was only able to bring two golfers due to injury and
dual sport conflict. Manistee scored a team total of 210, shaving 11
strokes off of Monday’s team score! Leading the way for the Chippewas was
Sara Danison (Sen) with a 49, Emalyn Nelson (Sen) with a 50, Olivia Vasquez
(Jun) with a 52, and Kendal Waligorski (Soph) with a 59. Also scoring a
59 was Sarah Huber (Fr). Not factoring into the scoring was Mackenzie
King (Sen) with a 63.
The girls’ next match is their first 18 hole Lady Cardinal Invite hosted by
Big Rapids at Katke, the course of Ferris State University. This will be a
great experience for the girls as the Regional Tournament is held at this
course on October 5, 2021
