The Boy’s Varsity Swim Team competed against both Alma and Ludington on Saturday in a double dual meet format, coming away with dominating victories, including winning 9 of 12 events against Ludington (Score: 118 to 56) and 10 of 12 events against Alma (Score: 129 to 39). Individual overall event winners include Senior Ben Sullivan in the 200 and 500 Freestyles, Senior Zach Lee in the 200 IM, Sophomore Trevor Adamczak in the 100 Butterfly, and Freshman Alec Lampen in the 100 Backstroke. Winning the 200 Medley Relay was the young squad of Lampen, Freshman Drew Mendians, Adamczak, and Junior Seth Thompson. The 200 Freestyle Relay consisting of Lampen, Senior Dylan Johnson, Senior Griffen Antal, and Sullivan finished in first in a narrow victory over Ludington, while the 400 Freestyle Relay team of Sullivan, Johnson, Adamczak and Thompson obliterated the field, just missing a state qualifying mark. The Chips will next compete against Hamilton and Holland High Schools on Tuesday, at Hamilton.
