The Manistee City Police are reminding drivers that MDOT is closing the Memorial Bridge October 16, 17, 18.
The planned detours will be marked with barricades and have US 31 closed at First and Monroe streets as follows:
Northbound US 31 traffic will be routed west on First, north on Maple, and then east on Memorial Drive to US 31.
Southbound US 31 traffic will be routed west on Monroe, south on Washington, and east on First to US 31.
Drivers should plan accordingly as traffic is expected to be backed up considerably before and after school, especially the first day of the detour.
Manistee City Police Department asks that everyone remain vigilant of other drivers and be patient during this closure.
